I never got into superhero comics when I was a kid, not because I wasn't interested, I was when I saw those comics on the self in supermarkets, but because my parents were pacifists and would have never allowed me to read anything like that. So I put it away never really thought about revisiting it until FDP wanted to cosplay X-Men to Sakura-con 2012. I asked around from my comic book nerd friends and started reading - thousands and thousands of pages later I found myself with yet another obsession.

Emma Frost is without the doubt one of my favourite characters - she's outwardly icy, aloof and elitist, but inside she's insecure and fiercely loyal. I chose her original White Queen Hellfire Club outfit because I think it's the most realistic of her costumes, unless you happen to have a banging DD porn star body

Since her outfit is completely white, I wanted to use different materials and shades of white to avoid looking like a sheet. The cape is off white micro suede, with lining, collar is white fake fur. Boots are fake leather (eBay), corset white leather (made by myself) and gloves are real leather (eBay). Wig is a lace-front wig from eBay.

And let me also say that I haven't enjoyed cosplaying with FDP this much in years - I was incredibly proud of our X-Men group and loved every moment of it.
